Privacy Policy

Last updated: 26 May 2025

VANJIV (“we”, “us”, “our”) is committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect through vanjiv.com, why we collect it, and how it is handled.

By using our website or contacting us, you agree to the practices described here. If you have questions, write to us at business@vanjiv.com.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information only when you voluntarily provide it:

  • Contact / Partnership Form — your name, company, email address, phone number, event type, expected participants, location, and any message you submit.
  • Email correspondence — replies or messages you send to our published email address.

We do not use tracking pixels, sell data to advertisers, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.

2. Automatically Collected Data

Our web server may log standard technical information such as your IP address, browser type, referring URL, and pages visited. This data is used solely for diagnosing technical issues and understanding aggregate site traffic. It is not linked to your identity.

We store a single numeric visit counter in your browser’s localStorage (key: vj_visits) to subtly enrich the visual experience for returning visitors. This value never leaves your device and is capped at 6.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Responding to partnership and business inquiries you initiate.
  • Providing you with information about VANJIV programmes you asked about.
  • Improving website performance and fixing technical issues.

We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

4. Cookies

vanjiv.com does not set any advertising or analytics cookies. The only browser storage we use is the vj_visits localStorage item described above, which is not a cookie and is not transmitted to our servers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We may share it only in the following limited cases:

  • Email delivery — form submissions are transmitted via encrypted SMTP to our business inbox.
  • Legal obligation — if required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of VANJIV, our partners, or the public.

6. Data Retention

Emails and inquiry records are retained as long as reasonably necessary for business correspondence purposes — typically no longer than 3 years. You may request deletion at any time by contacting us.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate information.
  • Request deletion of your data (where we have no legal obligation to retain it).
  • Withdraw consent for any processing based on consent.

To exercise any of these rights, email business@vanjiv.com.

8. Security

We transmit form data over HTTPS and use industry-standard email encryption. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information.

9. Children

vanjiv.com is not directed at children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will reflect any changes. Continued use of the website after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
